Herbal treatments

Herbal treatments can vary from the simple use of herbs in your diet such as the use of ginger, garlic, onion, sage, thyme, mustard etc to the use of more complex herbal blends made from specially prepared herb extracts.

As much as possible I like to encourage people to utilize the diet as a method of incorporating herbs.
I feel that this is the original, natural way of incorporating medicine into daily living.
It is not difficult to add garlic, onions and chilli to most meals. For many cultures these are basic ingredients. For others, garden herbs such as parsley, mint, chives, thyme and sage are the herbs most often used in daily family meal preparation.
Many people also use herbs such as peppermint, ginger, lemon balm ans others as infusions (teas). This is another way of incorporating local herbs into the diet.
All of these plants have medicinal properties.

However, there are many times when it is not appropriate or possible to use the herbs needed to treat an illness by additions to the diet.
In these cases I will often recommend either a tableted /capsulated herbal preparation or if I can not source the exact blend I want in this form I will use liquid extracts to make herbal blends specifically for each client.
The extracts I use are all 1:2 concentrates, sourced from local companies who are known to do thorough checks on the quality and efficacy of their products.
