Organic flaxseed oil sourced from Waihi Bush organic farm and also from Prolife. These are unrefined, organic pressed flaxseed oil.
Flaxseed oil is nature's richest vegetarian source of Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) Omega 3, 6 and 9. We need to obtain these daily from our food for general well being.
Omega-3 EFAs are required by the body for many reasons, including the transport and metabolism of both cholesterol and triglycerides, for the normal development and function of the brain, for maintaining the health of the body's structural membranes and for the production of series 3 prostaglandins. These prostaglandins regulate functions such as: restoring platelet stickiness to normal, controlling inflammatory responses and supporting immune functions and sodium excretion.

The Waihi Bush 'flax original' is recommended for those who have been using flaxseed oil for a period of time and have no major health concerns.

Waihi Bush 'flax boost' is recommended fof those who are under stress or just starting out on flaxsed oil. It contains a beautiful blend of cold pressed flaxseed, blackcurrant and borage oils. These added oils boost the body's ability to utilise essential fatty acids.

Once opened the bottles of oil must be refrigerated and used within five weeks, however the capsules do not need refrigeration and are great for people on the go!
